Boteco do Gomes is a newcomer to Lapa. Even though it’s a new structure, they’ve done a fantastic job of reproducing the classic look of a bar from the early 20th century, with brick walls, tile floors, art-deco lights, and an old-time bar. Patrons of Boteco do Gomes include students, Lapa visitors and musicians, all of whom gather at the stand-up tables or at the roomer tables near the back. Boteco do Gomes is located on one of Lapa’s busiest streets, and is especially crowded on the weekend.
