Santo Scenarium is a restaurant and bar that is as much a part of history as it is a great place to relax. The building has been there on the same spot since 1808. Originally it was the home of Joao Caetano, a Brazilian actor, and then became a police station, and then finally, the bohemian bar that it remains today. The furnishings inside still harken back to Rio’s colonial days. And yes, there is good food and drink to go along with the atmosphere. Be sure to try the bean broth or the drinks with reduced liquor content.
