This classic, old-style botequim was once proclaimed by The New York Times as the best one in Brazil. Bracarense is always busy in fact, on Saturdays, it’s packed from corner to corner. Nevertheless, the beer here is always top-shelf, as is the food quality. They have wonderful mushy appetizers which go quite well with the beer they serve. The primary chef, Alaíde, is known to work small wonders in his kitchen. This is a place with great food and a great atmosphere once you’re able to be seated.
