¡Venga! is the first typically Spanish tapas bar opened in Rio de Janeiro, in 2009. It serves Spanish appetizers, like the pulpo a la Gallego (octopus with potatoes and spicy paprika) and famous tortilla de papas (an egg omelete with potatoes). Traditional desserts like the Catalan cream and chocolate with churros are in the menu as well. Also in Leblon, it is only in Ipanema that they are now offering breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, with a menu made up of Spanish recipes. Venga is among the hottest spot restaurants for the cariocas since its opening.

Trendy tapas in a trendy and cool place
Oct 21, 2012 by James T

Try the grilled shrimp. This place is located in one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Rio. It's a bit pricey but nothing to break the bank. Many different tapas and all are delicious. The sangria is awesome.
