Café Ubaldo is a charming coffee house located inside the Letras & Expressões Bookstore in Rio. It was created as a memorial to the Brazilian author Ubaldo Ribeiro. The bookstore is known as a shop for serious literary students, and so the clientele at the coffee house tends to be the same. It’s a wonderful spot for reading without distraction. Their espresso coffees are the most popular item on their menus, coming with an extra bitterness that is characteristic of some Brazilian coffees.
