Café e Bar Pavão Azul literally means The Blue Peacock. Whatever you call it, though, this is one of Rio’s finest casual restaurants. They have excellent Pastel and shrimp fritters. However, probably the best item on their menu are the Pataniscas, made of cod fish. They have other excellent cod dishes, as well. You can either sit at the table or at their large, traditional bar. There is no dish on their menu that is too expensive. The atmosphere is contemporary and relaxing.
