Adega Pérola is more than just another restaurant. It is considered a piece of Portugal, right in the midst of Rio, and is a destination in itself. In size, it’s actually a small pub, serving only about 70 patrons at a time. However, it’s the atmosphere that makes it a must-see. Inside and out, it’s decorated as a Portuguese restaurant from the late 1800s. Inside, the food, genuine Portuguese fare, features more than 70 items, such as grilled shrimp and herbs and the tiny fish dish known as manjubinha, with fried manioc. Wonderful visit!
